Blog: If Robots Performed On Par With Humans, At Everything, I’d Be On Board With It
What I really think is that not having hair is engineering laziness: I want to see more hair grown specifically for the robots, specifically of a plant like texture similar to cannabis or hemp, where while it doesn’t look exactly like a human’s hair, it’s more sustainable than most human’s hair.
And you wont have to worry about it not being able to grow, because it’s derived from a similar Chia Pet, and made from the shaved plant strands that compose of the wig. I also see no reason for robots not to have artificial organs like hearts, digestive systems, taste receptors, and so on are really important. Especially if you expect people to be sold by the idea of transferring their brain to a body like that.
You wont find anyone sold by transferring to a body that performs less than a human. This means in certain functions, it should perform as good or better: tasting and digestion.
If it were a robot brain, it wouldn’t matter. But the human brain needs things robot brains don’t. Simply saying “it’s cool to be a cyborg” doesn’t cut it to me.
