Blog: Breaking Bread with Noah Glass of Olo
Double. Double. Double. Double. Olo is on track to process 200 million mobile orders this year, achieving double digit growth for 4 consecutive years. OpenCity’s CEO, Nick Belsito, “Breaks Bread” with Olo’s CEO, Noah Glass, as they discuss how Noah began his career in the restaurant business and his passion for technology and cooking, and how it impacts the way he runs Olo, that enables restaurants to provide better delivery services to their customers.
Olo powers digital ordering and delivery programs through enterprise software that connects restaurant brands with on-demand consumers. Restaurants use Olo to capture demand through branded websites, apps, social channels, and third-party marketplaces. Orders from Olo are synchronized with POS and other restaurant systems so brands can integrate to a network of delivery, loyalty, CRM, and payment providers. Ordering volume through Olo’s platform has been doubling annually, with 100 million orders processed in 2018 alone.
Noah Glass is the Founder & CEO of Olo. His visionary work with mobile ordering pre-dates the iPhone, beginning with text message ordering on feature phones. Noah began working in the restaurant industry twenty years ago as a cashier, server, bartender, and delivery driver before withdrawing from HBS to start Olo in 2005. He was named one of the most 50 influential people in foodservice by Nation’s Restaurant News in 2018 and currently serves on the Board of Share Our Strength and the Board of Trustees for the Culinary Institute of America.
